Nestled in the independent quarter of Exeter. Within an historic arcade you’ll find a 100% Vegan offering, with everything from smoothies, specialty coffee, buckwheat waffles and a creative seasonal brunch menu, surrounded by the treasure troves of McCoys Arcade - we are an all weather cafe with seating under the atrium as well as inside.

Our Space

Sacred Grounds is a bright, warm and welcoming space offering fresh, innovative plant-based food and drink.

Nestled at the end of McCoy's Arcade, Exeter’s historic arcade in the Creative West Quarter of the city. You'll find Sacred Grounds amongst a community of independent shops.

Designed to be welcoming to all, the space is decorated with living plants and prints - "The artwork was designed as a homage to our logo and which means sunrise over Sacred Grounds" (available to buy via the café's website.)

The furnishings are specially collected pieces that have all had a previous life reflecting the eco-friendly ethos behind the business.

Sacred Grounds also runs on green energy from the sun, wind and waves, and aims to use every element of the fresh produce bought in to create different aspects of the menu, like the syrups for their alternative drinks menu. The Sacred team also create their own nut-butters, gluten-free waffles & different seasonal specials & smoothies daily.

A place that is welcome to all, Sacred Grounds offers a safe space for toddlers to run about, and we can offer smaller child-friendly versions of our main dishes for little folk. You'll find cushions and blankets scattered around for your comfort.

You can choose to sit in the warm vibrant belly of the cafe and watch our team prepare your food and drinks as you relax in the calming surroundings, or sit in the Atrium - under the light pouring from our glass roof amongst plants and between the indie treasure troves that line the arcade.

As our furnishings, tables, menu options and atmosphere vary you can enjoy a different experience every time you visit; with friends, with the company of a good book, your pooch or your large family whatever the occasion the time you spend will be Sacred.
